TouchPointCare provides an inexpensive and simple-to-use system for data collection,
trending, and reporting. It enables providers to improve their quality of services
while reducing costs. Kentucky TouchPointCare's uses TPC's low-tech subscription-based
capability and gives providers a low-cost telehealth solution which avoids the
high costs of traditional monitoring equipment. It allows easy entry for providers
to add it to their suite of health care services. With no capital investment for
providers, TouchPointCare's technology makes it possible to offer remote monitoring
for patients. All the client needs is access to a telephone.
TPC's technology
is invisible to participants, They simply answer a few select questions, report
their symptoms, measurements, or compliance to their prescribed program. The technology
allows three ways to communicate: over the phone speaking to a live person who
records their responses, over the phone through Interactive Voice Recognition
(IVR) or through the internet. If any response exceeds predetermined thresholds,
specific protocols are initiated, such as immediate notification of the provider/caregiver
or instructions for the patients to call their physician.
With no expensive
monitoring equipment necessary and no capital investment required by the provider,
Kentucky TouchPointCare makes it possible for every provider to make use of telehealth
for selected patients. Kentucky TouchPointCare uses technology to lower costs
while enabling the close monitoring of patients while allowing them to remain
independently at home with assurance of quality care.
