KY Touchpoint Care

For Immediate Release
March 13, 2006

TouchPointCare, LLC and the Kentucky Home Health Association, Inc. (KHHA) have signed an Agreement whereby KHHA will market TouchPointCare's telehealth system to KHHA member organizations. Kentucky's program will be known as Kentucky TouchPoint Care.

After review by KHHA's Quality Committee and Board members KHHA made the decision to make the TouchPointCare system available in a non-exclusive agreement. TouchPointCare offers a low-cost data collection, trending and reporting system. It enables providers such as home care, clinics, hospitals and others to easily and quickly collect information from any patient with access to a phone.

The TouchPointCare system is a software application that is hosted on the Internet. A provider is able to gather any information from patients by developing unique question series. The question series can range from evidence based questions focusing on specific diagnosis to monitoring activities of daily living, patient satisfaction with agency services, mental health management, health maintenance , education and more. The patient simply answers the questions over the telephone and the TouchPointCare system stores the results for immediate reporting and analysis. The unique "Alerts" feature facilitates "exception based" management of large patient populations.

According to Karen Hinkle, Executive Director of KHHA, "The TouchPointCare system gives our members a very cost effective tool for increased patient monitoring. It is a great alternative to the high cost of monitoring devices. KHHA is pleased to continue our tradition of helping our members identify new tools and technologies to help them better care for their patients."

David Anderson, PhD, the founder of TouchPointCare stated, "The TouchPointCare system is the next generation of telehealth and we are very excited about our partnership with the Kentucky Home Health Association. They have a reputation for being proactive and thinking outside the box. Their decision to market the system to their members is a strong endorsement."
