KHHA MEMBERSKHHA is pleased to offer you yet another option for important educational offerings. The Kentucky Home Health Association is one of 25 states partnering with Home Care Information Network (HCIN) to offer web based video-streamed, on-demand home health specific educational sessions. The system currently operates somewhat like a cable tv pay per view service... you pay a fee that gives you 24 hour access for a specific period of time. That way your staff can view at their convenience... and you don't have to have a group convened. Unlike some on-line education.. this one feels more interactive.. you see video presentation ( via your computer) have access to all the handout material and can stop at anytime to repeat or comtemplate the material covered. With 24 hour access, you can review the information several times. Continuing educational hours are available directly through HCIN. NOTE: Because Kentucky is a partnering state, KHHA does receive a marketing fee from HCIN for each Kentucky agency that uses an HCIN educational offering. Thus, your participation is good for your agency and also supports KHHA. Following is information about a special offer for training on the new HHABN. The special offer is two full days for $125 dollars or a very special deal of two weeks access to the programming at a one week cost.. for $300. Several KHHA providers have tested this new technology and report being very pleased with its ease of use.. Staff with VNA Nazareth did a test viewing of a coding session and here is what they had to say: " The technology aspect of this seminar was very good. Access to the site was easy and so was navigation within the site. I also think the format and the setup made the site user friendly. The speaker was very clear and easy to understand. The ability to see the slides and hear at the same time made the learning experience more meaningful. As a team, we feel using the internet as another means of training is important because it gives employees flexibility.
